The client required on-page optimisation for course pages to improve RGU's rankings in search results.
RGU is the top university in Scotland for graduate prospects.
Given Google's constantly evolving language capabilities, the content strategy focused on relevant content topics and strategically using keywords. I optimised course pages by enhancing copy and leveraging cognitive SEO tools to identify key entities that Google associated with content, as well as keywords and synonyms that needed more emphasis.
I also targeted Google's answer box and 'People also ask' sections to help RGU compete for Featured Snippets. This strategy aimed to position RGU at the top of the first page of search results, driving more visibility and traffic.
Additionally, I optimised the meta data for course pages to further boost SEO performance, and contributed to delivering a successful SEO content optimisation workshop at RGU, helping to build internal expertise and enhance ongoing SEO efforts.
